Bob's father works in a restaurant. Last Friday Bob didn't have to go to school，so he went to work with his father. They had to get the food prepared before 11：30 a．m.

Bob filled a large pot with water. His father washed and cut carrots，potatoes and tomatoes. His father cut some beef，too.

Then someone came to the back was ，an old man living asked Bob's father to give him some bones(骨头)．He needed some bones to feed his 's father agreed and asked him to come thanked him and left.

At 11：20 a．m.，Bob's father finished all his work，and it was time to go home.“Take some soup home for lunch，” said the chef(厨师长)．He gave Bob a jar from the fridge.

“I can't wait to taste your soup，Dad，” Bob said when they got when Bob looked into the jar，he couldn't believe his eyes.“Dad，” he shouted，“we've got the jar with the bones！”

“Oh，the chef must have made a mistake，” said his father.“Well，I really hope 's dog likes my soup！”
