Cross-cultural misunderstandings occur when people from one culture do not understand the actions and behavior of people from another culture. Everyone has experienced that feeling of being socially or culturally “off balance” at some stage . It happens when we enter unfamiliar cultural environments and find that things are strange or different. For example, it can occur when a person begins a new job.
