I suppose you may be a little unhappy because of me as you were expecting me to come in any circumstance. I am extremely sorry for not going to watch the football game together with you yesterday afternoon. Please accept my sincere apology. Yesterday afternoon I was going to leave the dormitory when I received my mother’s call telling me she would come for a visit. You know I hadn’t seen her for a couple of months and I did miss her. So I had to cancel the appointment with you.
