I’m terribly sorry that I can’t go to the cinema with you next Saturday afternoon. I’ve just informed that I have to attend an important class meeting that afternoon and I’ll have to give a lecture at the meeting. I hope the change will not cause you too much trouble.

Shall we go on next Sunday afternoon? We can set out early so that we’ll have more time to have a face-to-face talk before going to the cinema. If it’s convenient for you, let’s meet at 2:30 outside the school gate. If not, let me know what time suits you best. I should be available any time after school next week.
