Yao Ming, who was born on September 12th, 1980 in Shanghai, is a world-famous basketball player. He is one of the tallest players with a height of 2.26 meters.
Yao started playing for the Shanghai Sharks while he was still a teenager. In 1998, he joined the Chinese National Team. Four years later, he went to the US and became the number one player in the NBA draft, which helped him join the Houston Rockets.
