Every country has many good people who help take care of others. Some high school and college students in the United States often spend many hours as volunteers in hospitals or homes for the aged. Other young people volunteer to work in homes of people who are sick or old. They collect food or money, paint,clean or repair their houses, or do shopping for them. The members of Big Brothers take these boys to basketball games or fishing trips. They help them learn things that are common for boys to learn from their fathers.
In most cities, there are a number of clubs where boys and girls are taught to play games or to make crafts( 手工艺品). Some of these clubs show movies or organize short trips to mountains, beaches，museums and other places of interest. Most of these clubs have students as volunteers.
If a boy or a girl lives on a farm far from any city, an organization called Future Farmers of America will help him or her learn more about growing food and raising animals, and have more fun by meeting young people from other farms.
