No air means death. Though we cannot see it， there is air all around us. So air is every where and it gives life to every living thing. Without it we cannot live. Bad air makes people ill. We must have fresh(新鲜的) air to keep us in good health(健康).

In the city there are many people and there are too many cars running on the roads. The gas which the cars spread(散布) out is full of poison(毒物). Every day we breathe(v. 呼吸) it in again and again. This makes us feel sick. Therefore(因此) people should be out－of－doors(户外) as much as they can.

Besides(除…以外) the cars， there are many factories too. From the chimneys(烟囱) of these factories， we get the dense(浓) smoke usually black and grey(灰*的) in colour. This kind of smoke， when mixed with air，is dangerous to our health because it contains(含有) many poisonous(有害的) solids or  poisonous gases. So in order to(为了) keep ourselves  healthy we should go out to the countryside(乡间) to breathe more fresh air.
